This is a transcript map. It shows how the story and dialogue are organized, where the two branches line up, and which scenes belong to which version.

The two main transcript branches

  1. Realistic version, covering the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 build family.
  2. Stylized version, covering the Wii and PlayStation 2 build family.

They share the same broad Ghostbusters premise, the same major villain track, and plenty of familiar dialogue beats, but they do not unfold the same way scene for scene.

  13. Cinematic Six, which acts as the stylized branch’s shorter ending tag.

The biggest differences between the two versions

  1. The realistic version is longer and more segmented. It has more distinct cinematics, more split-level progression, and several extra dialogue buckets outside the main campaign.
  2. The stylized version compresses and reshapes the campaign. It keeps the broad story but changes the mission framing and some level naming, especially earlier in the game.
  3. Times Square lands differently. The realistic version uses Panic in Times Square, while the stylized branch routes that same broad idea through Welcome to Slime Square.
  4. The realistic transcript preserves more side audio. Janine’s phone calls, answering machine messages, and museum exhibit audio are a bigger part of the transcript package there.
  5. The stylized branch has its own tone and pacing. It is more than a trimmed copy. It has different comic beats, different sequencing, and its own campaign rhythm.
