Notes
Slimer still works here for the same reason he has always worked in Ghostbusters. He is gross, hungry, impulsive, and almost weirdly playful about making every room worse. In Ghostbusters: The Video Game, that makes him the perfect early ghost to bring the old chaos back into the building fast. He is not the deepest threat in the campaign, but he is one of the fastest ways the game earns its Ghostbusters credibility.
Contact Protocol
Slimer is annoying long before he is overwhelming. The safest way to think about him is as a slippery nuisance with enough speed and motion to punish sloppy angles. The Proton Stream remains the clean answer, and the real trick is keeping pressure on him until the opening to trap him appears. He is a messy early problem, but he is also one the game wants players to learn from rather than fear.
