Story
Ghost buffalo most often manifest as a reaction to the presence of another kind of ghost -specifically, any of the hunters who nearly caused the buffalo’s extinction. Though it’s far more common for the buffalo to manifest as a herd and to seek out the ghost of the hunter that attracted them, it’s not unheard of for a ghost buffalo to manifest as a singular entity. Either way, these apparitions share the massive strength and unpredictable behavior of living buffalo, and will charge with little provocation.
