A creation of the Egyptian goddess Bast, these entities were originally intended to be spies and messengers for the gods, and were scattered throughout the world to fulfill this mission. While they are largely docile enough to be mistaken for the statues they resemble, like real cats, their mood can turn on a dime. Also like real cats, when they do get mad, they can put up a real fight.
