Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is the smaller-scale Ghostbusters follow-up that hands the proton packs to a rookie squad instead of the classic four. It plays like a top-down co-op action game, sends the team across hotels, hospitals, sewers, graveyards, and city streets, and keeps its story tied to Janosz Poha, the Relic of Nilhe, and Dumazu the Destroyer.

This section is the new front desk for the game. If you want the broad overview first, start here. If you already know what you need, jump straight to the cast, character, level, or ghost pages below.

Story setup

The plot spins out of an old cult tied to Dumazu the Destroyer and a broken artifact called the Relic of Nilhe. Janosz Poha gets pulled back into the mess, Ismael hides behind the alias Dr. Michael Tesmon, and the original Ghostbusters are spread thin enough that they finally turn to a younger team for help.

That rookie squad is Alan Crendall, Samuel Hazer, Bridget Gibbons, and Gabriel Sitter. They do the field work while Peter, Ray, Egon, Winston, Janine, and Geoff support the operation from the Firehouse and the road.

What makes this game different

  • The original team is in the story, but the playable team is a new rookie lineup.
  • The campaign mixes standard on-foot stages with two vehicle-heavy street missions in the Ecto-4WD.
  • Enemy color auras matter. Swapping to the right stream type is part of the rhythm, not an optional extra.
  • The cutscenes lean into comic-book framing, which gives the game a slightly different feel than Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
  • The campaign builds toward a straight-up boss rush before the final Ismael and Dumazu showdown.
