What’s next for GB World Hub?

Ghostbusters World Hub

I’ve outlined this a little bit on Twitter, but I thought I would elaborate a bit more here.

I’ve loved running this website and contributing a little bit to the Ghostbusters fan community in a way that I feel is meaningful. It has been a pleasure. I’ve been a fan of Ghostbusters since I was a little kid, growing up in the 80’s. I still have all of my original Real Ghostbusters toys, which I’ve added to at toy shows and on ebay over the years.

That said, here’s what I plan on doing with GB World Hub in a post-Ghostbusters World world (lol).

Here at GBWorldHub, we’re going to cover the following Ghostbusters content:

  1. Mobile Games
  2. Console/PC Games
  3. AR/VR Games
  4. Tabletop Games (board and card games)

This is content I’m already working on, but I’m going to be working on finishing up the content about Ghostbusters World before I dig in much. If someone else wants to take over Ghostbusters World, I will probably still cover all of these things, but I will celebrate and put more work into GBW, because it will undoubtedly get new content and bug fixes if that happens.

I’m also going to, from time to time, mention other major news, such as new Ghostbusters movies, TV shows, comics and toys that I’m really excited about. My posts will be mostly my own opinions or thoughts, but this won’t happen often. Mainly when an official announcement happens, a poster or trailer is released, and when the subject matter is released, and that’s it. I won’t be covering things like casting, individual product releases, etc., unless it relates directly to a game.

I’m not going to cover them to the degree that Ghostbusters News does. Jason has it covered and I appreciate what he does over there, and think everyone should check his site out. I’m also not going to cover everything like they do on the Ghostbusters Interdimensional Crossrip Podcast. Chris and Troy do a fantastic show. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, so what I’m going to do is feature both of them on this site, so you all know when there’s new content from both of them, including news items, youtube videos, and podcast episodes. The feeds will link to their content, so we hope you’ll enjoy it.

Mobile Games

We’ll continue to create content around Ghostbusters World, but it will obviously be a lot less. I’m thinking of doing some of my own art of some of my favorite ghosts from the game to share here. I’m also going to follow any new Ghostbusters mobile games that release in the future. And we all know more is going to happen.

Console/PC Games

From Ghostbusters: The Video Game to Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime to Ghostbusters (Answer the Call-ish 2016 game), I’ll be working on content for about this stuff… potentially adding a Tobin’s Spirit Guide for each of these games, though I’m not really sure yet. It really depends on how helpful it would be.

AR/VR Games

I’ll continue covering AR games like Ghostbusters World (PLEASE!), and also hopefully VR games like those that could show up on Oculus (PLEASE!!). More AR gaming would be awesome. Honestly… would Niantic please stand up? And if they made a Ghostbusters VR game, it would be pretty awesome. I would love it if it released on the Oculus Quest (since I already have one), but I could see it being a Playstation VR exclusive, which would make this an extremely expensive game for anyone that doesn’t have a Playstation 4 or 5 and PSVR… such as myself.

Tabletop Games

From the board games to the card games, and everything in-between, we’ll cover it all. This includes Ghostbusters: Blackout, Men in Black/Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters Monopoly, and Ghostbusters Uno.
