The Genesis Ghostbusters game likes to test you with repeat patterns, but it also loves turning a decent run into a disaster if you bring the wrong weapon or panic at the wrong time. This page keeps the boss advice practical.

One thing to remember in every major fight

After you beat a middle ghost, you still need to capture it. That trap phase still matters. If you rush it, the ghost can break loose and take another cheap shot at you.

Home Sweet Home bosses

Magic Hatter and Hungry Beast

Best tool: Normal Shot

Keep your spacing, jump the split body when needed, and focus damage on the beast when it exposes itself.

Scaley

Best tool: Normal Shot

Wait for the scales to clear off the body, then unload during that opening. Do not crowd him when he starts moving again.

Apartment bosses

Evil Wraith

Best tool: Bubble Projectile

The arc helps you tag the real target during the split-image attack. Keep enough distance that the triple shots do not box you in.

Abominable Iceman

Best tool: Phaser Shell

Hit the head and stay ready to duck when it goes airborne. If it starts cornering you, move early instead of trying to be brave.

The Snowman

Best tools: Phaser Shell and bombs

The little snowmen are the real problem here. Clear them when the room gets crowded, then put your real damage into the big target.

Woody House bosses

Dragon of Flames

Best tool: 3-Way Shot

Give yourself room to jump before the flame breath starts. The longer the fight drags, the more annoying the fire becomes.

Fire Demon

Best tools: Phaser Shell or 3-Way Shot

Stay in the middle of the spread when it throws out flames, then answer with head shots when the jump pattern gives you space.

Flameface

Best tool: Phaser Shell

Time your jumps and shoot into the mouth. The pattern is very manageable once you stop rushing it.

High-Rise Building bosses

Centipede

Best tool: 3-Way Shot

The spread weapon keeps the fight under control once the body starts splitting into smaller targets.

Living Cage

Best tools: Normal Shot or 3-Way Shot

Watch for the beam attack, then punish it while it floats open. It looks uglier than it really is.

Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man

Best tool: Phaser Shell

Aim at the center of the face and keep your distance from the screen edges so the fists do not surprise you. A Special Suit helps if you already own one.

Castle bosses

Possessed Ghostbusters

Best tool: Normal Shot

Stick with the Normal Shot so you are not dealing with a nastier mirrored weapon coming back at you. Keep moving and treat the room size with respect.

Slimeworm

Best tool: 3-Way Shot

Duck early, hit the head hard, and be ready for the floating eye pieces after the body breaks apart. This fight can go bad fast.

Death

Best tool: 3-Way Shot

Stay clear of the scythe and work between the rotating fire blades when possible. You do not need to force damage every second.

Venus Deathtrap

Best tool: Phaser Shell

Stay low, keep moving, and fire into the mouth. The beam attack is what you should fear most in this fight.

Deep Hole rematches

Deep Hole brings several earlier bosses back before the finale. This is where the game checks whether you actually learned the clean answers the first time. Reuse the same plans. Do not get reckless just because you have seen them before.
