Yesterday, Illfonic revealed that Extreme Ghostbusters equipment is coming to Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed in the next DLC pack. The background was also a hint at what was to come, with what looked, to me, like a courtroom.
Today, they posted another image that confirmed my suspicions. Not only is the new location going to include a courtroom, it’s going to also have the entry to the courthouse. You can see a statue in the background holding the scales of justice.
This is another location that is both familiar and new for Ghostbusters fans, as Ghostbusters 2 has the classic courtroom sequence featuring the Scoleri brothers.
That begs the question: will we be getting some version of the Scoleri brothers in the next update?
We’ve heard they can’t do humanoid ghosts because of the game’s rating, but perhaps they’ve found a way to do the Scoleri brothers in a way that doesn’t impact the rating. We’ll have to wait and see what they announce next. That said, I wouldn’t mind if they also found a way to give us a 4-on-2 variation of the game, with more rifts in those rounds (or each ghost has specific rifts of their own).
