Dimensional Doors (Gates)

These are the Pokestops of Ghostbusters World. And the best part is you have a personal gate that you can place wherever you want.

Dimensional Doors appear all over. Mostly around businesses and parks. That said, if there should be more Dimensional Doors near you, please request more.

To use a door, make sure you get within range. You’ll know you’re close enough when the door turns green. You’ll also see other ghosts appear around you. This would be a good time to check the nearby ghost list because rare ghosts can appear around these doors. If you stick around a gate, every fifteen minutes the ghosts around it will change.

Tap on the door to bring it up, and you’ll see Mooglie appear if you haven’t collected yet. You can now tap the door or the button to collect items. The door will turn red for a little while until it allows you to collect again. Dimensional Doors reset every 10 minutes. Remote Gates reset every 20 minutes.

• You can collect from public Dimensional Doors every 10 minutes.
• Ghosts that the Dimensional Doors generate change every 15 minutes.
• You can collect from your Remote Gate every 20 minutes.

What can I get from doors?

You can find ammo for all three types of destabilizing weapons, experience points, all three types of traps, PKE Crystals, Coins, Ecto-Spheres, and on a very rare occasion, Gems.

When you get to level 40, you will suddenly get up to four items per door.

Where to find certain Ghost Types

Some locations have doors that attract certain types of ghosts, like water or earth types. The doors don’t look any different than other dimensional doors. But when you look at the ghosts that appear around them, you may be more likely to find ghosts of certain types around doors in certain locations.

Water Doors

Doors that have Water-type ghosts more frequently seem to be near parks, museums and inns. I’ve also found a water type door in a Barnes & Noble bookstore at a mall… but the mall’s name has the word “river” in it, so that could have something to do with it.

Earth Doors

The doors at Starbucks, and other coffee shops, seem to bring in a higher frequency of earth type ghosts. Probably because of coffee grounds. It’s been reported that libraries also have earth gates. The Librarian happens to be an Earth type ghost, so it’s probably no coincidence. Another place to check for earth gates is your local car wash.

Fire Doors

Restaurants are a good place to go if you’re looking for fire type ghosts. Find a door at a restaurant, and you’re more likely to find fire type ghosts. It doesn’t matter what type of restaurant as long as it is listed as one in google (probably on the gate as well).

What about Light and Dark Types?

These two types will appear in the wild, but are more frequent when using Ecto-Goggles.
